Education/Learning Focused
At PA Media Academy, we are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion across all aspects of our educational environment. We believe that every learner and member of staff should feel valued, respected, and supported to reach their full potential.
We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering learning community where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive. Regardless of any protected characteristic, everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
We recognise and embrace our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, including the Public Sector Equality Duty, which requires us to:
- Eliminate discrimination, harassment, and victimisation
- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not
- Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not
These principles are central to everything we do—from curriculum design and teaching practices to recruitment, student support, and everyday interactions. We are committed to continually reviewing our policies, systems, and processes to ensure they reflect our EDI values and meet our legal and moral responsibilities.
Our staff receive regular training and guidance to ensure they have the knowledge and confidence to promote an inclusive educational experience. We also encourage students and staff to speak up about any concerns, and to report incidents of discrimination, harassment, or victimisation to our designated Safeguarding Officers.
We believe that by embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion into the heart of our environment, we will nurture a vibrant, innovative, and supportive learning setting where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
