Apprenticeship training

Industry-leading journalism, content and PR & communications apprenticeship training from the UK and Ireland’s national news agency.

We provide apprenticeship training for many of the UK’s leading news, content and communication businesses such as the BBC, the Sun, Bloomberg, Sky, the Telegraph, the Financial Times, Haymarket, Evening Standard, the Independent, ITN, Muddy Stilettos, Times Literary Supplement, Havi, the Soil Association and more.

Apprentices spend around one day a week building their knowledge at PA Media Academy, and the rest of their time applying their learning and building their skills at work. Our apprenticeship training is relevant and rigorous, and apprentices are supported by us to succeed in their current roles and as they progress through their careers.

Our apprentices regularly win awards recognising their talent and potential, and are celebrated within their own newsrooms and teams. They go on to have stellar careers.

PA Media Academy’s small-cohort, high-quality apprenticeship training is delivered by practitioners who understand what organisations need from their people and where the industry is heading.

We have long experience in working closely with employers, and can provide support from recruitment through to apprentices’ final projects. As an independent training provider, PA Media Academy’s work in this area is quality assured by Ofsted and has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas. Read the most recent inspection report.

If you are trying to find an apprenticeship opportunity, you should look for job advertisments for these roles rather than getting in touch with the PA Media Academy. Find current vacancies for journalism, content and PR & communication apprentices on the government apprenticeship portal.

The small class sizes nurture a comfortable environment where everyone supports and learns from each other. The staff helped me hone in on my writing skills and develop the confidence to feel comfortable on camera.

What a great session we had on Communicating with Impact. Bridgid shared practical techniques to enhance and develop our communications skills so we can present and speak publicly or to senior stakeholders with confidence and impact.  I speak for my whole team in highly recommending Bridgid Nzekwu if you are after effective and fun communication training.
