Content Creator Apprenticeships: Level 3

If it’s video, audio, social or copy – we’ll help your apprentice make content that stands out for the right reasons

Whether shooting shorts for your TikTok channel or creating interactive multimedia web pages, your Content Creator apprentice will bring cutting-edge skills learned at PA Media Academy into your workplace.

We have been training apprentices since 2018 and now offer this course alongside our highly-regarded journalism and PR programmes

Your apprentice will be trained by experts from across PA Media including our newsroom, content and social media agencies.

We have experience in working closely with high profile employers and can provide support from recruitment through to final projects.

Apprentices study the following modules as part of their L3 Content Creator apprenticeship:

Content creation, foundation: An introduction to the role of the content creator within their organisation, focusing on evaluating the purpose and range of content produced

Professional Writing 1 and 2: Writing a variety of copy to a professional standard including email communications, social media, news, shorts, scripts, advertising and marketing materials

Audio-Visual Content 1 and 2: Shooting, recording, editing and publishing video and audio using the Adobe Creative Suite

Ethical and legal considerations: An introduction into the legal and regulatory challenges of publishing content – focusing on copyright and responsible social media use

Boosting visibility for Search Engines: Applying SEO techniques to amplify a brand’s content and messaging

Planning and evaluating digital content: Pitching, planning, delivering and evaluating the success of a digital project, including creating media assets and using analytics

Apprentices will train with PA Media Academy each week, completing these modules over 12 months. At the same time, they will build a portfolio of creative work including videos, podcasts, webpages, multi-platform digital projects and campaign plans.

The portfolio allows them to embed their learning and forms part of their End Point Assessment – a substantial work-based project which showcases the knowledge, skills and behaviours they’ve built on their journey.

If you’re an employer considering hiring a Level 3 Content Creator apprentice, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We’d love to talk to you about the benefits to your business and to your apprentice, and can talk you through how the process works. This course will be delivered remotely with a few in-person sessions to allow apprentices to meet each other properly and learn very practical skills. It is suitable for apprentices from across the UK.

Alternatively, if you are trying to find an apprenticeship opportunity, you should look for job advertisements for these roles rather than getting in touch with the PA Media Academy. Find current vacancies for journalism, content and PR & communication apprentices on the government apprenticeship portal.
