Editing & Strategy Courses

At PA Media Academy we teach what we know best. Our editing and editorial strategy courses are taught to the highest industry standards.

You might think sub-editors are a somewhat endangered species in the current news and content environment. But there has never been more need for strong copy-editing skills: they are part of an essential toolkit for everyone working in digital content.

Similarly, while digital places few limits on how much we can publish, the question of whether it’s worth publishing is more relevant than ever. And when time and resources are tight, briefing writers well so they deliver copy that needs less editing is essential.

PA Media Academy’s editing and editorial strategy courses are designed to help organisations manage editorial planning effectively and with flair, and publish content that is high-quality and of which they can be proud.

Our small-group courses are taught in-person or via Zoom by expert trainers.

We’re always happy to hear from organisations who like the sound of what we do but can’t quite see a course that fits their needs. We welcome bespoke enquiries and are happy working with delegates at all levels – from people in non-editorial jobs who need the essential skills of a sub-editor, to senior editorial leaders who are looking to plan for major news events.

All our editing and editorial strategy courses are available to book as bespoke training for your team, and some are scheduled as courses available to all that you can book as an individual. Find our current calendar here.

The small class sizes nurture a comfortable environment where everyone supports and learns from each other. The staff helped me hone in on my writing skills and develop the confidence to feel comfortable on camera.

PA Media Training were efficient, well organised and genuinely lovely people to deal with and, importantly for us, able to provide flexibility around our needs to create the bespoke training we required. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for further training or to recommend them to other organisations.
