Social Media Essentials: Reaching Gen Z and Gen Alpha

Make authentic connections on social media with Gen Z and Gen Alpha – and understand how and why they use social platforms

This four-hour social media training focuses on where to reach Gen Z and Gen Alpha, and how to connect with them in an authentic way

What you’ll learn: How to connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha on the platforms they use

When it comes to social media, a one-size fits all approach doesn’t work. This course will give you an understanding of the ever-changing social media landscape and guide you through reaching younger generations on the platforms they prefer.

Delivered in partnership with PA Media Group colleagues Hydrogen, the largest specialist social media agency in Scotland, you’ll learn from experts who live and breathe social media and can guide you through connecting with different generations.

With a focus on Gen Z and Alpha, you’ll take an in-depth look at how they use the internet, from their go-to apps to the types of content they engage with.  You’ll learn how to create a tone of voice that speaks to them – and why that matters – as well as how to authentically jump on social trends.

You’ll come away with clear guidance on how to make content planning and curation work for your brand and the audiences you are targeting, having received advice and feedback from an experienced social media editor every step of the way.

How you’ll learn

Your two-module Gen Z and Gen Alpha social media training will be led by an experienced social media expert from specialist agency Hydrogen who will share their knowledge and expertise through presentations, discussion and practical exercises. You’ll receive feedback on the hands-on tasks and leave ready to make your content ideas a reality.
